Parish Ministries

We have a shortage of readers and Eucharistic Ministers in the parish. Anyone who would like to train as either a reader or minister of the Eucharist please contact Fr Nigel or any member of the Parish Council.

Parish Centre

Full planning permission is now in place for the project and the application for a Fire Safety Certificate has also been lodged at the beginning of October.

It is hoped to seek tenders at the end of October/November. 

 

Fr. Manuel Casillas, a Comboni Missionary (or Verona Fathers) will be with us on the 22nd & 23rd of November to do a Mission Appeal in our parish. He will be sharing with us on his Missionary experience for over 26 years in South Africa. He was ordained a priest 51 years ago. After Communion we will take up a second collection to support the work of the Comboni Missionaries

 

Mohill Community Garden are hosting Pickling  & Fermenting Workshops

Fermenting Workshop Saturday 15th November 10- 11.30am

Learn about the principles of fermenting and Sauerkraut making.

Mohill & District Historical Society

Friday, 14 November at 8 p.m. in Mohill Family Support Centre

Topic: The Landed Estates – people, places and power-inherited in 17th-century Ireland and beyond (focussing on the heritage of estates and families in Roscommon and how similar forces touched neighbouring counties) Cost: €5 per person All welcome

 

Memorial Mass

For Padraig Mc Crann, Attymanus, & Luton will take place on Saturday November 15th at 11am  in St Patrick Church Mohill followed by burial of ashes in Mohill Cemetery.

 

Mohill Town Team

A meeting of Mohill Town Team will take place on wednesday evening next 12th November at Mohill Enterprise Centre 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome to come along and contribute to the development of our town.

 Church Gate Collection

 towards recently completed external paint works at St Joseph’s Church Gorvagh will take place at the next mass there which is on Nov 9th. Donations can also be given to Niall Flynn (0872412609) or Catherine Canning-McGovern (0879723619) 

Christmas Craft Fair

December 11th, 12th and 13th of December At Hyde st. next to gala N41KP40  Admission free from 10am-4pm  Craft stalls available to rent for any or all of the three days. please contact Joanne  0866035977

 

Handcraft Group

A self run group for anyone who enjoys Crochet ,Knitting or Sewing. Bring your own work and join with others for a cup of tea/coffee (by donation)

Clothing Collection

St Manchan’s N.S clothing collection will take run from Monday 10th November to Monday 8th December, bags containing clean clothes, shoes, towels, curtains and handbags can be left at the back door of the school during school hours, Your support is greatly appreciated.
